| Compiler on Web/Forums Updated to 1.3 |
Mar 06, 2010 00:02 |
We've updated the web compiler on the forums and SourceMod website to version 1.3.1 (from 1.2). There should be no compatibility issues. Developers can now post plugins that use new features and not have to attach a binary.
If need be, you can choose which compiler to use by editing your plugin thread's first post. |

| SourceMod 1.3.1 Released! Also, Six Years. |
Feb 10, 2010 00:11 |
I'm pleased to announce that SourceMod 1.3.1 has been released. This is a minor update with a few bug fixes and new game mod support.
Of note, this release includes extended support for "CS Pro Mod", meaning more admin commands are available and developers can do more wonderful hacking. Huge thanks to psychonic for doing so much game support!
On another note, on January 30th AlliedModders passed our 6 year anniversary. Huzzah! Anyone remember those days? If so, you get a sticker. (devicenull gets the biggest sticker, for reminding me.) |

| Metamod:Source 1.8 Released, SourceMod Release Plans |
Dec 20, 2009 00:19 |
A few announcements...
Metamod:Source 1.8 has been released. This release contains L4D2 support, and some very useful SourceHook changes for CS:S and legacy engine developers. To download Metamod:Source 1.8, or see the full announcement or release notes, follow this link:

Second, we are planning to release SourceMod 1.3 on January 15th, 2010. There was a mistake in translator tool, so I only just now sent out e-mails to translators. I apologize for the inconvenience, and have allotted plenty of time because of the holidays.
If enough languages are complete before then, we will release sooner.
Third, our webserver has undergone some changes. As many of you complained, the site was returning random errors quite frequently. We tracked this down to a combination of mod_fcgid (version 2.3 or higher seems unusable) and ever-increasing load/traffic. Things should be better now, so I'd like to thank everyone for their patience, donations, and suggestions. Special thanks to teddyruxpin for helping to look into the problem.
Have a great holiday! If you want. |

| SourceMod 1.3 L4D2 Support |
Nov 22, 2009 01:06 |
SourceMod 1.3 is now in beta and has L4D2 support. We are aiming for a release by the end of the year - until then, current snapshots can be considered stable.
SOURCEMOD 1.3 REQUIRES METAMOD:SOURCE 1.8 ON ALL GAMES!
Translatable strings are now frozen, and translators have a few weeks to update their languages. There are a few new phrases and you can use the translator tool to see what they are. When it comes time to release, we'll only export languages that have complete string support. (Translators will get a reminder e-mail tomorrow.)
I would like to HUGELY THANK all of our donors this month. Supporting a new game is never easy. This time around we did a ton of Metamod:Source changes (with more in the pipeline), in addition to reverse engineering a new SDK for the community, and getting SourceMod ported. This port was also non-trivial due to new optimizations in the engine. Your generosity lets the development team buy copies of the game to test on, and gives us added incentive to get it out as quickly as possible - since keeping infrastructure afloat is essential to the project.
And of course, I would also like to HUGELY THANK™ SourceMod developers - Scott Ehlert (DS), Matt Woodrow (pRED), and Fyren - for handling this port so quickly. |
